In a surprising and delightful announcement, Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry are set to lend their voices to the beloved animated series, Peppa Pig. The couple, who are engaged to be married themselves, will be part of the 20th-anniversary wedding special of the iconic show.
Orlando Bloom, 46, will take on the role of Mr. Raccoon, a jeweler character. His character will assist Mr. Bull and Ms. Cow in preparing for their upcoming wedding. Katy Perry, 38, will voice Ms. Leopard, another character helping with the wedding preparations.
Both Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry completed their voice work for the special episode before the commencement of the SAG-AFTRA strike. This strike represents actors’ efforts to secure a fair contract with Hollywood studios and streamers.
Hasbro, the company behind Peppa Pig, expressed their enthusiasm for having Katy Perry join the cast. Olivier Dumont, President of Hasbro Entertainment, stated, “We’re incredibly thrilled to have such an A-list talent join the family-fun adventures in PEPPA PIG!”
Katy Perry’s character, Ms. Leopard, is a friendly neighborhood dressmaker. Her addition to the show will be part of a 3-part series within the British cartoon.
Peppa Pig has been a beloved children’s show for nearly two decades, with nine seasons and a global presence in over 180 regions by 2023. The show revolves around the adventures of Peppa Pig, her family, including her younger brother George, Mummy Pig, and Daddy Pig, as well as their friends from the community.

The 20th anniversary of Peppa Pig in 2024 will be marked by various exciting projects, including live events, attractions, products, partnerships, and Peppa-themed parties worldwide.
Hasbro reassured that all casting and filming for the Peppa Pig Wedding Party Special were contracted and completed before the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, ensuring compliance with SAG-AFTRA rules and conditions.
This isn’t Katy Perry’s first foray into the world of animated projects. She previously voiced Smurfette in the 2011 live-action Smurfs movie and its 2013 sequel. Additionally, she made a cameo appearance as herself in an episode of The Simpsons.
In addition to her animated roles, Katy Perry has been enthralling audiences with her Las Vegas residency at the Theatre at Resorts World since December 2021. Her final show in the residency is scheduled for November 4.
